Presuming you to not already have been turned away by the overtly-clique title, “As the Birds Fly”, I should confess that this will be a rather ‘nerdy’ blog. I have recently become rather fond of birds, and I not only enjoy spotting and watching the various species, but also enjoy learning their attributes and becoming familiar with their calls. Now, as a final act to seal my fate as a ‘nutty birder’, I will endeavor to write about these creatures, attempting with all my might to compel you, the reader, of their beauty and elegance. My intent for this blog is to not be overly analytical and technical. I simply want to write about my experience with birds, my sightings of birds, and various particularities of certain species. Keep reading…perhaps you, too, will find new appreciation for these smart, athletic, beautiful creatures!
